Maintenance Policy

At Novate Designs, we undertake to within the 3 month free maintenance period for your new website, to edit and update the text and image content of your website to your requirements, free of charge. Updates will typically be done within 24 hours. This offer is only valid for websites designed, developed, and hosted by Novate Designs.

New pages, detailed layout changes, and design work are chargeable and will be quoted for at our very competitive rates.

Please note, we do not impose hard limits on your site maintenance, but these will be governed by limitations of fair and reasonable use, at our discretion.

All website maintenance requests, must be submitted via e-mail to

– File attachments need to be in a .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .pdf, .html or .zip format.
– Pictures/images need to be in .jpg, .png or .gif format.

Novate Designs typically completes maintenance requests within one business day. However, it can take up to 2 business days during heavy volume periods. For any requests received after 4 pm, the following day will be considered as the first business day.

Novate Designs does not mange post-dated (hold, to be completed in the future) requests. Any post-dated requests of more than 3 business days from the submitted date will be closed with a note added to resubmit at a later date.

“Maintenance” is content management. It does not include a redesign of the page layout.

Novate Designs reserves the right to distinguish between updates, re-designs and new-designs.

Novate Designs does not share website access for maintenance responsibilities with clients or other vendors.

It is the client’s responsibility to review updates and notify us of any necessary changes that need to be made. Novate Designs will not charge for errors caused by us. However, if a change needs to be made due to client error, the regular hourly update fees will apply.

Novate Designs will maintain a 24 hour nightly backup of your website.

If your website uses a third-party component (website trackers, weather info-feeds, etc.)Novate Designs takes no responsibility for loss of information due to actions of these sites. Any maintenance to your site resulting from any third party component will be billed at the normal hourly rate.

We only accept a full maintenance fee before working on our client site.

Novate Designs Website Maintenance Service DOES NOT include:

  • Redesign of a website’s homepage or subsequent pages
  • Restructuring of a website’s entire navigation system
  • Creating new logos or branding images
  • Troubleshooting pre-existing code
  • Interactive components or functionality additions
  • Database activity
